Medalta Documentary on the Front Page

Over the weekend, my documentary, Clay, Creativity, and the Comeback made the front page of the Medicine Hat News upon the announcement of the premiere screenings taking place later this month at the Monarch Theatre. Three shows have been scheduled for April 30, May 1, and May 2 and will relaunch this documentary about how Medalta Potteries was saved and mark the 40th anniversary of the Friends of Medalta Society.

My feature-length documentary, "Clay, Creativity, and the Comeback" is finally getting the long awaited "official" premiere and re-release that was cut short by all the cancellations in 2020.

For the first time, the story about how Medalta Potteries and the industrial ruins of Medicine Hat's abandoned clay district were saved from demolition will premiere at the Monarch Theatre at the end of the month. Screenings will take place at 7 PM on April 30, May 1, and May 2, 2026.

Featuring original interviews, unseen archival materials, and a story told by the incredible volunteers who stepped up to make it happen - this is one of those movies that will make you look at what's in your own backyard a little differently.
