We Two Kings Photo Collage

The joy of creating something like We Two Kings is that it reminds you of all the reasons you liked making movies in the first place. The surprise of how it would look, of how the random story would come together, and how it would be received proved to be as addicting as ever. I created this photo collage to summarize both the 2009 video shoot and the photographs taken several weeks ago as we went back to revisit our shooting locations.

Madame Tussauds Hollywood

Parked beneath Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Dave and I joked about the frenzy of tourists that we were about to join above us. We walked up the stairs and entered a plaza with Madame Tussauds on one side and the Kodak Theatre on the other. With so much going on around us it felt a bit intimidating at first, but the reality and excitement quickly set in. We had made it to Hollywood.

After exploring the boulevard, we made our way back to Tussauds to close out our afternoon. Having seen my share of wax museums in the past, Tussauds, and particularly this one in Hollywood, was top-notch. There's something satisfying about losing yourself in the stereotype of the entertainment capital. Should you ever find yourself there and feel like paying the steep admission, you're sure to fill your camera with campy, memorable pictures just like we did.

Singapore Recap

After several months have passed, I always like to review my edits to see how I feel about them. I start to think about how I would've edited them differently or if there's another video that I could make with the footage, etc. The process also gives me a chance to appreciate the edits as a viewer, because my head isn't quite so wrapped up in how I assembled them.

My Singapore edits were an undeniably memorable side project from this year and I still get a kick out of watching them. So, with everything about the experience now in context I thought it would be fun to recap the posts from Singapore 2010. Simply click any of the banners to watch the videos, read about the locations, and share in what was one of my major highlights from earlier this year.
