Driving the Cowboy Trail

Heading north from Pincher Creek on my way to Kananaskis I drove along Highway 22, also known as the Cowboy Trail. This is a pretty quiet road through the Alberta foothills, with beautiful views of the mountains and lots of picturesque ranches. The views are actually exactly like the Alberta provincial flag, with prairies merging into the mountains. It's also where the Bar U Ranch Historic Site is located just south of Longview, Alberta. I loved this drive on my Rocky Mountain road trip.
