Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center in Montana

Detailing their incredible expedition, the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Great Falls, Montana is a beautiful museum overlooking the Missouri River. Surrounded by scenic trails, the museum does a great job of immersing you in the history of the expedition, specifically the Great Falls Portage that took place here in 1805. 

The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail is something that I've inadvertently explored a lot of in pieces. From the Gateway Arch in St. Louis to remote spots like Fort Benton to the Columbia River Gorge where Lewis and Clark finally reached the Pacific, the scale of their journey is even more amazing when you have context for how varied these landscapes are. The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is well worth exploring on your next trip to Great Falls, Montana.

It's campy, it's kitschy, it's catchy! Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida is one of those classic old-school attractions that you can't help but fall in love with. All the birds sing words and the flowers croon, after all.

Home Alone House in Winnetka, Illinois

Located just north of downtown Chicago in the affluent community of Winnetka, Illinois you'll find the iconic house from Home Alone (1990). There have been a few changes to the property over the decades, but the 'Home Alone House' is still immediately recognizable as the McCallister family home that Kevin defended from the invading Wet Bandits. I have to say it's pretty surreal to find yourself standing inside the familiarity of a Christmas classic. Awesome, but surreal.
